I love a great performance but that’s all it is. We build up individuals who work this craft as if they are more than just pretenders while the rest of us toil in the real world. We’re the ones on the actual battlefields of life day in and day out while their set designers develop their pretend world for that one performance. We actually clean up their mess with real hands, create in this world and take the risks that life demands. Those that pretend are the ones that too many actually believe in instead of those that live it. We should appreciate the craft of acting without bowing down to those that perform it.
