Does It Matter?

One of the reasons I didn’t go through many of the rituals is because I was scared I would do them “wrong” but does it really matter? In other words, does G-D punish us for getting the details wrong, or is our effort what really counts?  When the Israelites first built the tabernacle and temple such details were made to get it “right” but I wonder if it wasn’t perfect would the one that is be so judgemental.  I believe in the end that G-D will not judge our works by perfection but our efforts to get there instead.
