Amnesty International and the ACLU appeared to stand for things we all could agree on so why did they have to take such a left turn? We all can believe that individuals should have basic human rights such as free expression of faith and speech wherever they might be born yet we can differ on issues such as abortion and the death penalty for heinous crimes, so why should these groups be involved in those controversial topics? Why not stay and defend issues that unite us then find ones that divide us? Amnesty International has taken it a step further by condemning strong democracies such as Israel while turning a blind eye to those that everyday abuse their people. The ACLU somehow has forgotten free speech is for those that are not politically correct and don’t toe the woke line. Which has you wondering were these organizations ever really working for the issues that truly unite us or just using them as cover for the ones that divide us instead?
