You are like a philosophical blood brother to me but on Ukraine and many other foreign policy issues this blood goes to a different vein. For we must stand country sovereignty against an invasion force accept under the following conditions (below). Does this mean we need to have boots on the ground to protect the will of a nations people, not necessarily? It pains me to say this but the Biden administration might have it right. First we must provide the arms and training to those that are in defense of their own nation including special CIA type units that might assist directly (ex 1980’s Nicaragua, Afghanistan) . Then we must make sure our allies know we have their back by bringing in the equipment and boots on their borders to draw a strong red line. Finally our negotations with Russia must clear direct and have the means behind it to back up whatever we finally agree to. Tucker when we forget history then those that have the will to bring it back often due.
(1) WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND WILLINGNESS TO USE THEM- Iran might be a prime example of where such an invasion might be necessary or at least a destruction of those capabilites.
(2) MASS MURDER- If a country is practicing genocide against some members of it’s own country based on religion, ethinicity etc then we will take the necessary means to stop it!
(3) TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY- When one country directly inteferes with the border of another or causes an insurrection this could be a cause for such a violent confrontation.
