Do you know that over 38,000 people die in car accidents every year yet how many are afraid to take their car out for a spin? At the same time how many people decide to add Russian Roulette to their weekend plans? Covid can be seen in both lights. Many people will see Covid especially as just a risk they have with the territory of living while others believe it’s that bullet in a chamber. There are also people in the middle who might drive on the highway but avoid the rickety bridge and sharp curves. These are the individuals who are willing to live their life during Covid with a bit more precaution in the wind and/or not pick up the handgun. Covid is scary especially for those with preconditions and/or the elderly but as we turn the corner with treatments and the vaccine I wonder if it’s not worth driving through. We can’t escape risk as long as we have a beating heart yet how we see it will determine whether we actually live during our life or just exist in-between.
