Imagine if businesses along the great state of NY went on a one-day strike to fight for the basic business principle “that the customer is always right” and therefore not enforce the governor’s decree of a mask mandate. What would the impact of such a strike do? Well for one thing it would show that businesses are truly “private enterprises” that shouldn’t be in the policing business. It would also show that businesses are more concerned about their customer’s rights vs those of dictatorial governmental policies. If a store wants to have a mask mandate then it should be allowed to do so and if doesn’t then so be it as well. Maybe it’s therefore time for this 6 letter word to become a white-collar word as well.
