Today many of us live in fear wearing masks even when driving alone. Yet, Jacob shows us a way to confront those fears step by step as he entered the land of his Esau a brother who he feared was filled with rage at his very presence. First, one must not jump into the fight but enter slowly and cautiously. They must prepare their entire body for the encounter they will be facing with a defense that can be an offense at a moment’s notice. Finally, they must submit themselves to G-D to make sure this is the time and the path they really should embark on. In the end, Jacob proves we can not live in fear but be willing to take it on instead for life’s dangers will always remain so G-D willing we will find the strength to conquer them which will lead us to a path of success and happiness.
