Does Lumosity prove that we all have some psychosis when pushed to the limits? In “Color Match” one has to suppress their impulses to identify the right color by name and sight. We all might understand what the color red looks like but when time is moving quickly we can easily perceive black in that name order instead. When our minds are put under time pressure are these mistakes we quickly make, or for the moment do we perceive something that isn’t entirely there? Do we have a psychotic experience when the pressure at work causes us to perceive more pressure at home even if it didn’t occur yet? The point is as much as we feel “sane” there are moments when our perception is not actually there. Then the difference between sanity and insanity is not whether we have moments where what appears real isn’t but whether we can identify those incorrect moments instead.
