Acting is less about yourself and more about the mirror. For once you create the character you have to stick not only to the lines but the body motions as well. What makes it so difficult is it must appear “real” even if the stances become more and more artificial after each take and angle. The question then becomes, how many times can you express the same emotions with the same intensity as you do it again and again and…. ? I love to go off script and improvise but acting with bigger projects is less about your own vision than the one stamped into the script as editors hate trying to piece together parts that don’t fit into the script puzzle. . Furthermore, memorizing lines that don’t seem “real” to you can make your acting appear artificial even if you are blessed with this talent. Acting may look easy on the screen but trust me it’s really hard.
