Sometimes you want your successor to come from your own genes but often it is someone in the crowd who has been watching your every move instead. Other times the role is too hard for just “one to lead” and the task is shared with others who have taken a piece of your life in theirs. A successor we may never know who they might be but if your acts leave a mark with others then the legacy is already being built. That is why one must run as if your last lap was on this race for nobody actually knows their finish line and who could be watching ready to put on your “Adidas.
