When one is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for G-D then they deserve a special resting place. With this in mind, I have a different take of Nadab and Abihu Aaron’s sons in the bible who gave up their life’s to become such a sacrifice. Commentators might say they were forbidden to go to a certain place and that is why they lost their life’s and although that might be technically correct maybe they knew what they were willing to do but were willing to take these steps for G-D. They believed their deaths would bring such holiness that it is worth the journey. Today those who stand up for what is right in tyrannical regimes such as Iran, China, and Venezuela make such a holy sacrifice. Those of us who are privileged to live in a “free” country and still are willing to stand up for those who have been wronged at the cost of our social and economic positions can be considered in some way to be such martyrs. These individuals worrying more about the life they are living than their own beating heart. Injustice must be fought with every fiber of their body even if it takes that body away. For in the end those that put themselves in such a camp realize that getting to heaven means trying to bring it to this land even if such steps are their last.
