Coded

Our words, images were not permitted to spoken out loud but our thoughts could not be suppressed so we spoke in a coded language “they” couldn’t understand.  Our words came from our heart and soul but they didn’t just ignored them but fought to silence them as a whole.  “They” claimed those words we spoke provoked violence and hate when we never wanted anyone to lift anything up accept their voices with us. Even jokes were considered dangerous enough not only to “de-platform” individuals but make sure any employer heard the consequences loud and clear of the “bad joke”.  They initially came for words from our leaders but then even those who attended their rallies to those who even decided to sing about it.   Yes, we needed to modify the code as we moved into the same power structure that brought us down. Don’t worry now that we know their means we  will do the same to them when the timing is just right for our own control.
