Middle Class Wonder

You may have your future dreams but I’m living mine now. While you work way past the candle burning I’m spending the time with my children as they actually grow up. Whether it be going to their soccer match, playing scrabble, or just goofing around I find my time actually more productive here then being at the office. I don’t have to worry about hiring or firing anyone just doing a good enough job to keep the roof above my head. You might enjoy a filet mignon every week but when my family bites into one trust me it tastes a whole lot more special. My work worries end when I punch out and really are not as large as yours when I punch in. You might travel the world when you can but I get my union contract allows me to increase my weeks year in and year out. Lunch hour is actually an hour not the 10 minutes you cram your food down. I don’t have to be especially nice to anyone I don’t want to be to move ahead because I’m happy just being here. I don’t take advantage of my sick days but make sure I put them into account as well.  In truth I’m not getting ahead and that isn’t too bad is it?
