Like a wave I was swept in even though my feet were barely wet. I knew the mob was overstating the case but I was afraid to stand up to them even as I attempted to find a different verdict. How could I think differently when all I heard was one side over and over again. Yet I fought for them to spare his life as did my ancestors with Joseph but this time I worried it fell on deaf ears. For the mob raced to their truth even as it stamped out the any semblance of decency and honor. Mob justice isn’t something for ancient times but exists on our streets and screens today.
FOOTNOTE- G-D willing our final verdict will not be based on the mob we too often walk with today.
