WARNING- This blog post may cause one to think independently
I wear a mask partially out of the health concern of others and myself but mostly because it makes people around me feel good. The medical community appears unanimous that this device will help prevent the Corona Virus except when other questions (below) are asked. It also doesn’t address other health concerns that continued mask wearing might cause (see below). I will continue to wear a mask for the reasons listed above but I believe one should be able to ask questions even if their lips are covered.
(1) PROPER USE- Like any tool if not properly used the effectiveness declines even to become a hinderance as a whole. So is your mask brand new? Have you touched your face with your hands to your mask? Is it snuggly fit? To conclude does the mask give you a false sense of security which makes you take other risks you wouldn’t if it wasn’t worn?
(2) CO2- Is Co2 and other harmful agents (pollutants) less likely to leave your breathing area when a mask prevents it’s exit after one exhales?
(3) EXCURSION- How does the impact of sweat and dirt effect your breathing as a mask is worn when one exerts themself?
(4) Oxygen- Is the level of oxygen deleted from our body as the mask covers the free flow of air to our body?
