The Platform is the 1984, Hunger Games for the next generation. It shows another version of a Dystopia society at times in an insightful and often times gruesome way. Are we really that selfish that when we move up that we totally forget about those that lie below or can we rise above or own self interest? This is the question one is left with as the explore the deeper meaning of the context of this film. This movie seems very topical in the Corona-Virus times we live in where many are now at a lower platform then they started from and might suddenly rise above as this hideous disease appears to lesson it’s grip. Will we be able to eat from a higher platitude while making sure other’s won’t have less then scraps. I’m hopeful that the Platform is just a fictional picture we should look at and one that never becomes a reality but I guess it depends on who moves to the top.
