“The Sinner” is filmed brilliantly yet I’m not sure I want to continue to look. Consciously I love to take my mind in a different direction yet subconscously I’m not sure I want to go this way. My inner self doesn’t want to now have sympathy/excuses for acts of cold blooded murder even if circumstances might not demand it and I believe the Sinner is trying to lead me down such a path. Will this confuse my basis of justice to believe even these individuals deserve “a second chance”? The Sinner might be opening up thoughts that I’d rather keep closed and that is why it appears that I’m not enjoying it. On the other hand maybe it’s just a bit too slow to grab my attention and one more episode might be needed to deserve it’s’ verdict on my viewing habits.
