Iowa Election Results- Donald Trump & Hillary squeaks bye

Donald Trump sad

Although the results are still coming in it appears from all the data that it will be a defeat for Donald Trump in the Iowa Caucus. After refusing to appear in the last debate before the Iowa Caucuses his supporters have decided to stay home as well.  It also appears that the supporters of Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Ben Carson were motivated to come out from their performance and the results are still to close to call.  Giving a crushing defeat to the presumed favorite of the G.O.P field. Donald Trump has pledged to participate in further debates but the question is can the momentum change to stop this downward spiral before the New Hampshire primary?

ISOLATED

stuck in box 2

Last night the outside world was disconnected.  The walls of freedom appeared to be closing in on me as my resources became extremely limited. I was trapped with what I could obtain for a split moment by the generosity of others.  If I was stuck or trapped only my own resources could get me out. Last night my cell slept out.

Hair and free will

hair in front of eyes Bad hair day

There has been a debate among those of faith whether our life is predetermined or we set our own path and the answer lies in our hair. For unlike an animals hair which doesn’t necessarily need to be groomed (although it looks much better) home sapiens/human’s needs to be for our own survival.  We can’t walk around with our hair in our eye’s or we’d bang into everything and if you didn’t wash our hair eventually something else dangerous would grow in it.  Yet hair on other parts of our body doesn’t need to be managed. The interesting fact about this is hair on our body isn’t necessarily seen but the hair on our head is visible at least initially (sorry bald people). Therefore we can see through the hair on our face  (especially if it’s combed back) that G-D who created/creates everything wants us to determine our own path by the actions we take. G-D might have a path designed for our success but unless we move the distractions out of the way we will never see it.

Crossed my line

Guittardline in sand

It was a line in the sand that I wasn’t supposed to cross but blame it on Guittard. I had committed myself not to enjoy Chocolate with less then 72% cocoa but there was this bar with it’s Pink Paper and Anise and it was a temptation I couldn’t resist.  Now that line has been washed away/Obamed away and I feel that I must have another bite. For the flavor although not as rich as the 80% bars is so smooth with the slight taste of dried red fruit notes and Anise that it’s taken my Chocolate breath away. It might be a blessing in disguise for it is missing and just like a quick fling maybe the memory is all that I need to hold onto.  Another bar at 72 % or above surely will come along and the memory of Guittard will fade away … I hope.

Lonely DANGER!!

Lonely lonely in crowd

Most dangerous/extreme acts can be traced to loneliness in some way. When an individual feels alone even in a group setting they may have a tendency to act out in a way that is harmful to themselves or those around them just to get noticed.  These individuals might join groups that they are not right because at least they’re paying attention to them. Loneliness can lead to falling for the wrong person and staying with them because they don’t want to be alone again.   Therefore it is important that society recognize such individuals and help them deal effectively with these feelings if not for themselves then society as a whole. Here are a few ways this can occur.

(1) Faith Path– Help let these individuals know that there is a place where their words are listened to and where they are always welcome.

(2) Art Path– Lead these individuals to productive ways they can express those emotions that add beauty to the world.

(3) Unique Path– Let them see the peacefulness that can reside in moments of contemplation’s and serenity. For an artist, writer, inventor, philosopher needs moments by themselves to achieve a unique perspective that helps the world see things a bit differently.

(4) Charitable Path– These individuals empty moments can be filled with action to help make other life’s better.

Joseph Fiennes + Apple Computer + Delorean Cars

Delorean Apple Joseph Fiennes

Apple Computer, Joseph Fiennes, and Delorean have an interesting connection today which I will share with you (below) but first the news. Delorean has been given the green light to resell their retro cars in the U.S again.  Joseph Fiennes will play Michael Jackson on a U.K television special. Apple Computer has fallen to 94 a share.

(1) They are all the top google searches of today (easy one)

(2) All 3 stories are tied to the 1980’s. The Delorean, Michael Jackson and Apple Computer all had their big starts during this decade.

(3) These 3 stories have had a major impact on our culture in the past that lingers till today.

Ammon Bundy Arrested

Ammon Bundy

I know that “Ammon Bundy” deserves to be arrested for occupying Federal land that is owned not by him but all of us but I steel feel for him and his cause. For the Federal Government is encroaching on all our rights and our way of life one step at a time. The West might have been wild but it was free and sometimes you must be willing to lose a little to gain a bit more freedom. Those ranchers live on the edge of freedom and self reliance where many of us have just given into authority (including me at times) and I for one am glad that they’re making sure the next step of government intervention isn’t on our feet.

Should have known

Should have known disappointed

For all the years that I’ve cooked on the stove this was one that was obvious, so how did I not know.  The classic Hot Chocolate is not to be made with Water but Milk. How many Hot Chocolates have been wasted down the sink instead of my mouth before I learned this obvious lesson. What is the recourse for those “could have been moments”? I guess my punishment is knowing what could have been? For what could have been enjoyed has been lost forever yet the future is brighter now that the obvious right combination has been discovered.  Now what goes with Peanut Butter?

Oscar Nominated – Room

Room movie

Room” deserves it’s Oscar nomination for the art it has produced. Taking the viewer into a secluded room for most of the film through not only our eyes, ears but a touch of our soul as well. With acting from Jacob Tremblay (who should win his Oscar nomination) and visually effects that are deserving of such consideration, this movie is one not to miss.  For the room starts out in one place but ends with the viewer looking at the world through a different lense. “Room” is what movie making is about telling a story the old fashion way and bringing the viewer in until the door is opened.

**** Room

I’ve seen 3 Oscar Nominated Films and so far 2  (Room, Brooklyn) are deserving of such consideration while “Mad Max Fury Road” although a fine film is not worthy of this glory.

Donald Trump not in Presidential Debate….Really

donald trump bad card hand

I believe Donald Trump is playing poker and seeing what this hand will get him.  For if he doesn’t show up for the Fox News Presidential Debate this Thursday 1/28/16 (as his campaign manager has suggested)  his hand will  be completely empty. and the election which appeared to be Trumped will be up for grabs. He will claim the slightest change as the reason he decided to attend at the last minute and by so doing get all the attention before, during and after the debates. Fox News might throw in another moderator or hand him a few softball questions (that he’ll claim he knew in advance) but trust me he’ll be there or is  ready to throw in the towel before the 1st round is even over. If in the end he doesn’t show up it will because the internal polls in Iowa are not going as well as he expected and  he’ll claim his absence (due to unfairness) as the excuse why he didn’t win the Caucus. Donald Trump knows the art of the deal  better then most and he plays it to his advantage all the time.
