u.s air force

Tonight our air force has made it’s first bombing mission in Syria to destroy the enemy of society as a whole. I pray that G-D protects them during this difficult mission and enables them to be destroy this evil effectively and with the least amount to harm to the innocent caught in the crossfire.

The People’s House

breaches at white house

The recent breaches in security at the White House have given great concern to those who protect the President and his residence but they also ask the question what happened to the people’s house?  We seem to put the Presidency on such a pedestal that sometimes we forget that he/she is put their as a public servant to the people. We of course don’t expect the average Joe to be able to walk to the White House and ring the door to speak to the President but we also shouldn’t make it an Imperial Palace.   The President should spend sometime everyday in his/her residency actually speaking to a few of his employees “The American People”.  Here’s how it could  be done (below)?

(1) The President would reserve 30 minutes three to four days a week to speak to citizens.

(2) Citizens would fill out a form telling them the days they would be available to go to the “White House” and pay a token fee to pay for this service.  Those who put anytime would have the best chance to meet with the best President.

(3) The names would be picked through a lottery system.

(4) They would be notified two weeks in advance that they have 5 minutes with the Presidents ear on such and such a date.  They would have to verify that they were available and would have a security clearance done before such date.

(5) The Public Servant (President) would meet with their employee (the Citizen) and a recording secretary would take notes available to the President and such citizen.

When it rains it mists

mist

Wouldn’t it be great that when it rains it wouldn’t pour. Yes you would be busy but in a way that’s easily manageable and even fun.  Just like a nice mist that gives you a touch of water your life would give you a touch of anxiety but nothing you couldn’t smile through. Those with strong faith have ways to make it through those pours so the world around them to many may appeared to be soaked but they just see it as a strong mist that will turn into sunshine in a moment.

Shake Chocolatekuka nut

What looked like another win by Kuku Banana Nut Brown Ale was upset for the moment by an incredible last minute taste by Shake Chocolate Porter?  The initial taste of Shake Chocolate Porter was similar to the Kuka dark flavor but then the essence of Chocolate sunk in.  Kuka Banana Nut Brown Ale thought they had they game in hand but just before the bottle was put down they threw incredible taste touch to my tongue and Shake Chocolate Porter brought the game into overtime.  Yet a second taste in overtime brought Banana Nut Brown Ale the final victory.  What a game!

Cable Wars

Confused

The annual cable wars have begun between Direct TV, Fios, Optimum and Dish Network and the truth be told whatever you don’t have will be cheaper. It can be extremely confusing because they’re is so much fine print along with the benefits and losses each provide. One of them gives you the NFL package free (but for only six months) one of them bundles internet, phone and TV together, while another provides you 4 billion channels (maybe a few billion less).  Then you have to decide if you want to put down a deposit now and have to cancel later because you find another service cheaper. It gets to the point where you need your accountant and lawyer to look through this mess. I think I’ll give up the T.V and read a book instead maybe one on the different Cable services.

First blantant Anti Semite

I’ve witnessed my fair share of Anti-Israel Propaganda, indirect Anti-Semitic words but never so direct as I heard at my gym last week and I was shocked with my response. First let me say I joke with my friends on a regular basis and some of the jokes are let’s say in the “Joan Rivers style” but we all know they’re jokes. I’ve also seen more Anti-Semitic words on Facebook but never directly to my face  In the past I stood up to racism by confronting customers that used derogatory terms to ending a friendship over such vile comments so how would I stand up when my own faith was challenged?

It was a normal day at the gym when the conversation of ISIS came up. We all talked tough (maybe too tough) about how we should completely annihilate this group no matter the civilian deaths and then I spoke about how Israel could have done this for us if we let them. I was running late so I began to leave the gym when one of the people in the conversation said to my face those “damn Jews”. My other friend gave me this look and I was ready to respond but for some stupid reason my mouth remained closed while my feet kept walking. Maybe it was because I was running late, or maybe it was because he could kick my butt with one hand but no matter what it was wrong.   I regret this decision and from my now on I’ve decided whenever confronted with true hate for any group I will respond as such:  I LOVE ALL GOOD PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF RACE, RELIGION, OR CREED BECAUSE G-D MADE ALL HIS CHILDREN AND LOVES THEM ALL.

Presidential Test

President test

HE GOT THAT WRONG

Those who seek the highest office in the land should have the competency to perform such work but how can we determine if this is so? We as a nation have been pulled in by charisma and coolness but somehow competence seems to have fallen off the list. Here is a way (below) we can insure that we truly have a President that is truly Presidential.

(1) A Panel of  intellectual Conservative and Liberal leaders made up of scholars and leaders in the movement is reconvened, to review the basic resume’s of those seeking this office, for their perspective parties. This resume must be given without any headshots or pictures attached.  The individual resumes are given a grade as if it was a report card.

(2) Those who seek this office will appear before the Conservative or Liberal panel and be interviewed. The questions that they will be asked will consist not only of policy issues, but their reaction if certain crisis occurred, to their knowledge of the Constitution and the Federalist Papers.  The individuals will be given a grade for their responses.

(3) Finally these individuals who seek the approval of the individual boards will have to act out certain scenario’s in front of the panel to truly demonstrate whether their words match their action. This will be the “Midterm” exam and the results will be broadcast throughout the news media outlets.

(4) Those with the top scores from both the Liberal and Conservative Panel then can appear before a joint committee of such policies and repeat steps 1-3.

(5) The joint board will then vote on who they believe is the most competent. (note Conservative and Liberal members of committee can’t vote in blocks but must divide vote).

(6) These reports will be fully disclosed to the public so they are well informed before they vote.

Cool & Killed

STILL MISS HIM

People that I’ve met claim that Lindsay Lohan is one of the most fun people to “hang with” is that why they have slowly let her hang herself? The truth is if we talked to friends and family members of those who have had a loved one who  had a drug overdose most of them will tell you he/she was the life of the party. The person that everyone had a great time what could have gone wrong? This same story can be repeated with those that are serving time in prison, been involved in a fatal speeding crash, or even committed suicide.

There are plenty of “cool people” who never end up this way but there is a certain percentage that due and because they have “swagger”  it’s hard to help them before it’s too late. We assume these individuals might just be going through a faze that they need to get out of, not realizing that these dangerous acts are truly becoming who they are. The initial high they received from the laugh or applause is being replaced by the excitement of living on the edge an edge that way to often pulls them off a cliff.  Therefore if you truly love those individuals remove all the coolness and look into their heart. If it’s beating too fast it’s time for them to get the help they need before it becomes cold forever. Forced intervention can truly save us from losing some of those we truly cherish.

Conservative Civil Rights Leaders

conservative leaders

These would have been the true leaders of the African American Community.

As I read “Voices Of Freedom” an oral history of the Civil rights movement I’ve struck by how this initial battles weren’t fought by Conservative Republican leaders.  If these Conservatives had jumped in the battle from the initial call to civil disobedience we all would have been better off.  What is most difficult for me to understand is that these cries for basic freedom were the values we as true “Constitutional Conservatives” truly stand for. Here is how I believe it should been fought (below) and some of the better outcomes that would have resulted.

(1) The Voting Act of 1920 by Calvin Coolidge Administration guarantees that all citizens have equal access to the ballot box and that restriction by government due to tax or test are illegal.  The Federal Government would insure if necessary by force that these basic rights shall not be denied.

(2)  The Equal Opportunity Act of 1920 (I like Calvin) would guarantee that any business that gains a profit by the general public can’t discriminate against in employment or patronizing any citizens just based on their race, religion or creed.

While the Dixie Democrats would continue to try to Segregate African Americans the Conservative Republicans would pull them into their family. These African Americans would then appreciate the sacrifices that were made on their behalf by Conservatives  and join us to make our country greater, instead of be part of a party that continues to bring poverty and despair to so many.
